My New Book: Whose Shoes Are You Wearing?

My New Book: Whose Shoes Are You Wearing?
07 Mar 2014

It all started with a simple question: “What kind of product can I create to support my coaching clients?”

My sister, Christine, and I were strategizing last November about how to reach a bigger audience with her message of Mommy Empowerment. When she asked me the question, I threw out the idea of collaborating on a book about transformation. We had both undergone our own transformations over the past couple of years and were living out our purpose with passion. The only thing was, she thought I meant a 20-page e-book. Well, she should've known better: my motto is always "Go big or go home." Twenty pages turned into a whole lot more as we brainstormed about what women like us need to know about what true transformation and self-love takes. After six weeks of intense focus and prayer, we had written our first book.

This is the first time we’ve ever done anything like this together and I’ve never been prouder in my life. As Howard Schultz once said in an interview, “Success is better when it's shared.” And it's been a blessing to share this exciting journey with my sister. I have no doubt that our book will change lives—especially after some of the initial feedback we've already received. The book, Whose Shoes Are You Wearing: 12 Steps to Uncovering the Woman You Really Want to Be, will officially launch in May 2014. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing some sneak peeks into what you will gain when you embark on this transformational journey with us to find out…whose shoes you’re wearing.

Read on, and if you answer “yes” to any of these questions then you need this book!

  • Are you stuck: finding yourself living the definition of insanity all day, every day?
  • Do you have a hard time saying “No” to people, things and situations that drain you?
  • Are you allowing unhealthy relationships to block your blessings?
  • Do you struggle to reconcile your cultural heritage to the woman you want to become?
  • Are you still waiting for Prince Charming to come along and complete you before you can really be happy?

After having conquered our own personal and professional struggles to finally walk in our purpose, we’re giving you our most powerful insights to move you along your own path to uncovering your God-given purpose. In Whose Shoes Are You Wearing? 12 Steps to Uncovering the Woman You Really Want to Be, we take you through key steps to help you create the unprecedented transformation you want to see in your own life.

We draw upon our own life-changing experiences—from ending unhealthy relationships to surviving unimaginable trauma—which are closely intertwined with their East African upbringing. With practical action steps included at the end of each chapter, Whose Shoes shows you how to walk boldly and fearlessly in your own shoes regardless of the shoes you’ve been wearing

With a generous dose of humor, solid spiritual principles and a “keepin’ it real” attitude, this book will become a staple in your library as you embark upon your own journey to discover the shoes God meant for you.

You’ll be seeing more about the book as we get closer to the launch, but in the meantime, head on over to facebook.com/whoseshoesbook to like our new page. Click here to help us select a cover our book and check out our web site at www.whoseshoesbook.com. Can’t wait to share more with you soon!
